Last month, we hosted an inspiring event that brought together seven remarkable female leaders: Katarina from TSK, Dana and Isabella from TAS, and Lorshun, Heather, Renee, and Lunar from TMN. These panellists, representing various functions within the automotive industry, shared their insights and strategies for overcoming challenges unique to women in this field.
The discussion tackled some of the most pressing issues, such as the preference of hiring managers for male candidates and societal stereotypes about female workers being inflexible or unable to work under pressure. On the flip side, solutions were also explored, including highlighting the unique qualities of female leaders and valuing female candidates in a male-dominated area.
During the panel discussion, the importance of work-life balance and the need for supportive environments that enable women to thrive both professionally and personally. Their message was clear: supporting women is not just a necessity but a foundation for creating a stronger, more inclusive community.
Reflecting on our progress, the female leaders we gathered for this panel discussion are a testament to our achievements, and there are many more within TAJCO. As Dana aptly put it: “It’s a long-sighted and tough journey… It’s important to bring it onto the agenda and create some awareness around the stereotypes.”
Together, we can drive change and build a future where everyone has the opportunity to succeed.
